Formerly Scottish & Newcastle Brewery site was one of the largest regeneration schemes in the heart of Edinburgh. P1 carried out Public Realm works consisting of semi private courtyards, tree lined streets/boulevards, complex interconnecting stairs, access ramps and a play park for under 5 year olds. All materials specified to reflect a high quality design characterised by natural stone surfacing and combined with high quality street furniture, semi mature tree planting and well implemented soft landscape to transform the site into a contemporary urban quarter.
Works were completed to a very high standard. This was reflected by winning a BALI award for Hard Landscaping Construction 2010.
